What is a Traditional Funeral?
Our Traditional Funeral is a fully comprehensive package, which includes everything you would expect from a full traditional service, you only have to consider which flowers to choose! We'll assist you with all the arrangements like playing special music appointing a local minister or celebrant to perform a special service at the crematorium. The funeral ceremony is lovingly planned by you, we provide our hearse and conduct the funeral on the day, you also have the choice of adding personal preferences such as following limousines etc. This service can be customised to your exact requirements.
What's included in a Traditional Funeral?
A Funeral Time & Date to Suit You
We will help you arrange the time and date of the funeral at a crematorium of your choice on a working weekday, so it’s convenient for you and your loved ones. We cover all of the crematoriums throughout Yorkshire and beyond, so there is no restriction on which crematorium you choose.
Ashton Light Oak Coffin
Provision of our Ashton light oak hand crafted veneered coffin with all the appropriate linings and fittings
All Fees
All external fees such as the crematorium cremation fee, Doctors Fees and Officiant fees are included in our Traditional Funeral Package.
Transportation
Collection of your loved one and transportation on cremation day in a specialised funeral vehicle.
Return of Ashes
The ashes will be returned in a simple container within 6 weeks of the cremation. Alternatively the ashes can be scattered in the garden of remembrance at the crematorium free of charge.
A Hearse
The provision one of our own traditional chauffeur driven hearses to carry your loved one.
Mortuary Care
Your loved one will be collected from their place of rest and then cared for in our mortuary.
A More Personalised Ceremony
We will assist you to arrange the funeral either in person or by telephone, and help you plan music, the reading of eulogies and guide you through recommending a local officiant to lead the service.
Telephone Support
We will be at the end of the telephone throughout the process, helping you with any decisions for the day of the funeral.
Unlimited Attendees
Invite as many family and friends as your local crematorium can hold so that everyone can pay their last respects.
Minister or Local Officiant
We will carefully explain the options available to you for a local minister or officiant to lead the service at the crematorium. Their fee is included within the price.
Chapel of Rest
We have a private and peaceful chapel of rest where you can spend time with your loved prior to the funeral service. Please note there may be restrictions due to Covid 19.

What’s not included in a Traditional Burial?The following are not included in a Traditional Funeral. • Limousines Limousines can be added for additional fee of £250 per vehicle. • Floral Tributes We can recommend local florists for you to discuss suitable tributes with. This is a non-exhaustive list of what isn’t included in an Intimate Funeral. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further information.

Can you take our loved one to your mortuary until cremation day?Yes, we will collect your loved one a few days prior to the day of the service and care for them in our professional mortuary.

Can you collect our loved one outside of your working hours?Yes, we can. Collection outside of 9am to 5pm on working weekdays is £225.

Are there any restrictions on the size of your coffins?Our coffins are the industry standard size of: 84 in (213 cm) long 28 in (71 cm) wide 23 in (58 cm) tall However, if you feel that a larger coffin may be required then please discuss this with one of our team. An additional fee may be payable.
